As we celebrate May’s Preservation Month, we are excited to share several important restoration goals for the future of the Chapel and Welch Memorial Building. These projects include the restoration of the Welch Memorial Building’s sandstone lettering and exterior sandstone pockets, the repair and realignment of the Tiffany window “Jesus Sustaining Saint Peter on the Sea of Galilee”, and the long-awaited conservation of Tiffany’s glass mosaic memorial tablet, which has never been restored in over 130 years. While we are actively pursuing grant funding for these critical preservation efforts, community support remains essential in helping us move these projects forward.
We invite you to consider donating to the CPC and contributing to the preservation of Willard Chapel’s historical significance. Donations can also be made by mailing a check payable to CPC at 17 Nelson Street, or dropping off cash or checks in person. If you can't consider donating at this time, scroll down below to find other ways you can help the Community Preservation Committee.
